Psychology combines perspectives from both the social sciences and the natural sciences to gain an understanding of the processes underlying human behavior. The psychology major at Wooster stresses an empirical approach to the broad range of psychological issues and problems. The curriculum is designed to expose students to both scientific and applied aspects of the discipline, and majors become familiar with theory and research. Laboratory experience and research methodology are integral parts of courses at all levels.
