Mihika Chatterjee is a senior economics major from
Calcutta, India. She was selected to receive the Legal-Humanitarian
Internship from the Lilly House her sophomore year, through which she
worked for attorneys specializing in litigation for HIV/AIDS victims.
Her I.S., "Catastrophic Illness, Household-Resource Allocation and
National Savings in Tanzania: Beyond the "Increased Mortality-
Decreased Productivity" Argument, explores how low-income households
cope with a serious illness like AIDS and the penultimate effect of
any change in household behavior on economic growth. While at Wooster,
Mihika enjoyed serving as a Resident Director, Admissions Intern and
member of the Wooster Volunteer Network, among other leadership
positions and extra-curricular actvities. Upon graduation, she will be
working as a Research Assistant for MIT's Poverty Action Lab and hopes
